Life Gives Us Experiences

In moving my 90 year old Mom to Tennessee from Ohio, I have learned a substantial amount in the way of retirement facilities, elderly challenges, personal insights, and the value of family and memories. It has been a challenge to say the least, but this labor of love is a small repayment for the pillar she is, and has been to our family. After caring for my Dad for several years before he passed away, I learned devotion and what marital vows truly mean. I learned parental love growing up in a wonderful household. I am working on my patience which is not one of my strengths. With my Mom’s declining physical and cognitive skills, patience is a challenge; and there are a couple of scriptures I have been leaning on that have helped. I am also learning to be more thankful for the blessings I enjoy that are more than I deserve.

Life gives us experiences, and how we deal with them is our choice. Every moment we have in life is an opportunity to be a positive influence, and this experience has made me more aware of those moments.
